How far in advance should I book my wedding makeup and hair?

Most brides book nine to twelve months ahead, and peak summer Saturdays go first. If your date is closer than that, still ask — cancellations and gaps do happen and I will always tell you honestly what is free.

Do I need a trial before the wedding?

Yes, and it is the part brides enjoy most. We spend around two hours in the studio testing skin prep, coverage, eyes, lashes and hair, photograph the result in daylight and flash, then write it all down so the morning is simply a repeat performance.

How long does bridal makeup and hair take on the day?

Allow around ninety minutes for the bride (makeup and hair) and forty-five minutes per bridesmaid or guest. I build a written timeline backwards from your photographer's arrival so nobody is rushed.

Will my makeup last all day?

It is built to. Layered skin prep, long-wear formulations, cream-then-powder structure and a proper setting routine keep it intact from the first look to the last dance — through tears, hugs and dancing.

Do you travel to me, and do you cover destination weddings?

I travel across London and the UK, and I fly for destination weddings — Italy, France, Poland and beyond. Travel is agreed in advance, and for weddings abroad I arrive the day before.

Do you work with sensitive skin, mature skin and all skin tones?

Yes. The kit carries deep shade ranges, fragrance-free and barrier-safe options, and technique adapted for mature or textured skin. Tell me about allergies or conditions when you enquire and I will plan around them.

Should I have a facial or brow appointment before the day?

Have facials, peels or new treatments at least two weeks before, and brows shaped five to seven days before. Nothing new in the final week — skin should be calm, hydrated and familiar.

How should I prepare my hair for styling?

Wash it the day before rather than the morning of — day-old hair holds a set far better. Come with it fully dry, no heavy oils or conditioning masks, and bring any extensions, veil or hair jewellery to the trial.

Can you do hair extensions and hairpieces?

Yes. Clip-in and temporary extension application is part of the service for volume and length, and I work around veils, combs, tiaras and floral pieces so the fixings stay invisible.

What makeup look suits photography best?

One that looks like you, slightly amplified. Cameras flatten features, so I define eyes, lips and structure a touch more than daily makeup while keeping skin looking like skin — no heavy powder, no SPF flashback.

Do you offer makeup lessons?

Yes — one-to-one sessions where you hold the brush. We audit your kit, retire what does not work, and rehearse a five-minute face and an evening face until they feel automatic. You leave with written notes.

How do I book, and what deposit is required?
